Face Painting Products & Care Information
Face Paints
Currently we are using the brands Arty Brush Cakes, Diamond FX, FAB, Paradise, TAG, and Wolfe FX for their vibrant colors and durability. All paints are water activated and specifically designed to be used for face and body painting. These paints dry to the touch within 30 seconds, making them ideal for avoiding smudges. They are paraffin wax and glycerin based.
Vivid Face Art prides themselves in using professional face & body art products. All products used are FDA compliant or approved. If you have sensitive skin to cosmetics and lotions, you may ask for a, "patch test" first. A safe way to check is with a swipe of paint on the inside of your arm. It is never acceptable to be painted with craft paint, even if it is labeled, non-toxic.
Face Paint Removal
Paints remove from the skin with soap and warm water. Some face paint pigments are similar to cosmetics, they may need a make-up remover to release the pigments. Our rule is one wash at bedtime and once in the morning.
Embellishments
Gems and Polyester cosmetic grade glitter are used to add dimension and sparkle. Gems are applied with a smudge of theatrical prosthetics glue. The Glitter is so fine that it sticks to the face paint. Both gems and glitter will wash away. Should the glue be stubborn, baby oil will facilitate removal.
